About Atsushi Tanaka
Founder of BPM | Remedial Therapist | Strength and Movement Coach
I grew up in Japan, where I spent seven years playing competitive American Football. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to push through discomfort. But it also taught me to ignore the early signs my body was breaking down—stiffness, pain, and chronic compensation that were slowly catching up with me.
When I moved to Australia, I discovered a completely different approach to movement, strength, and recovery. I studied remedial massage therapy and became a certified personal trainer, diving deep into human movement, biomechanics, and functional strength.
This journey reshaped the way I view training. I stopped chasing extremes and started focusing on how the body is meant to move—strong, mobile, and pain-free. Now I help busy professionals and former athletes rebuild a body that not only looks good but feels and functions at its best.
